Create an account overlay
Role: UX Architect
The brief of this project was to review the current registration overlay on johnlewis.com and make it simple and clear to the customer what criteria is needed when entering their password
I firstly analysed competitor's approach to getting their customers to sign up for an account. I focused the analysis around what information required and password security rules to help gauge customer expectation.
I then mapped out the existing flows of how create an account and reset password users journey and looked at areas where we could improve it.
Prototype / Wireframes
I developed some concepts of how we could communicate the password requirements clearly and simply to the user.
You can see the final wireframes above with the tick and cross inline contextual help messaging with the option to 'show' or 'hide' the password to help the customer to avoid making mistakes when confirming their password.
